Symplicity Designs started over a decade ago as a process improvement and strategy consultancy in Atlantic Canada.
We’ve worked with more than 500 organizations, guiding family businesses and mid‑sized enterprises through turnarounds and major changes.
Along the way, we realized that artificial intelligence was not a threat to human judgement but an unparalleled force multiplier. Guided by the belief that people who know how to use A.I. will replace those who don’t, we’ve transformed ourselves into an A.I.‑powered partner.

Leading the way are our Organizational Designers — our term for seasoned strategists, process improvement specialists, engineers, financial leaders, and change makers who know how to turn complexity into clarity.
Guiding this team is our CEO and founding partner, Matt Symes — a serial company builder who has helped more than 500 organizations scale, recover, and navigate complex change. He has been honoured with awards such as Business Leader of the Year from the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs in four consecutive years.
Our Organizational Designers bring decades of experience across sectors including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, technology, and professional services — alongside fresh perspectives shaped by careers in education, communications, construction, retail, and operations. Many hold advanced degrees, Lean Six Sigma certifications, and deep expertise in driving transformation.
We’re bilingual, multi-disciplinary, and community-minded. We combine analytical rigor with creativity, strategy with empathy, and human judgement amplified by AI-powered tools.
