You Might Have A System Design Problem

A woman in one of our Levership cohorts said this recently:
“I hired help. I built a team. But I’m still doing the hard thinking alone. I’m still the one getting up at 5AM to solve the stuff no one else sees.”
That’s not a people problem.That’s a system design problem.
It’s not about how hard your team works. It’s about how clearly the business runs.
Here’s what I see when I get inside founder-led businesses:
Three people “sort of” own the same task
Everyone is busy, but no one is sure what success looks like
The founder is still the safety net for every mistake, drop, or tough call
And the worst part?
No one talks about how normal this feels when you’re in it.
When your business is growing - but also starting to outpace your current operating model.
